There’s so much that goes into self-publishing. It’s time-consuming, and there’s a lot to take into consideration… and I love it! Getting a novel from the author’s mind into a finished product is a combination of thoughtful planning, creative inspiration, attention to detail, and a whole lot of trial and error. And I do mean a lot.

After nine months, I was finally ready to upload my completed manuscript and cover into IngramSpark this week. It took a few tries, going back and forth, tweaking margins or resizing illustrations, but my book was accepted and ready to print a proof copy for my final approval. It was the best feeling to get the “Happy Book Birthday” message from them.

I’m so excited about Varlandria and the novels to follow in this series! I’m already taking notes and planning the next books. I’ll write more about my series, Realms of the Brekenlight, in an upcoming post. I can’t wait to share this world with readers!
